As you know, your information products are excellent sources of income. You will create new income streams and increase your revenues if you market your products effectively.
In addition to using your products as income streams, you can also use them as marketing vehicles. You can use your products to promote yourself, your brand, your other products and your services.
It is great to use your produts to promote your expertise, your brand and your other offerings. Since you are already creating and selling your products, using them to promote your business and brand will not require any additional efforts. Here is how:
- Promote Your Expertise. Once you become an author of a book or an e-book, use that fact to promote your expertise. Authors are considered to be experts, so make sure you mention being an author in your marketing materials. Add this information to your business brochure, use it in your biography on your web site and add it to the Resource Box you use when submitting your articles online.
- Promote Your Brand. When someone is using your product, make sure your brand is visible. Brand your products with your brand colors by using them throughout the product. Make sure that your business logo and your brand information appear on the title page of your product.
- Add Your Biography To Your Product. When you read a book, the author's biography is either printed on the book's jacket, or it is located in the beginning of the book. When you create a product, make sure that you attach your biography, so that the person using the product can learn more about you. If this is a book, an e-book, or a special report, add the biography in the beginning or at the end of the product. If this is a teleseminar, CD or an audio recording, make sure that you introduce yourself at the beginning.
- Add Links To Your Free Resources At The End Of The Product. Even if someone already purchased your product, don't assume that they are aware of your blog or your free newsletter. Many times people find one of my products in search engines, buy the product, and only sign up for my newsletter after they have used the product. Don't assume anything; make sure that you invite everyone who purchases your product to subscribe to your newsletter or read your blog. This way you can keep in touch with them and let them know about additional products you release in the future.
- Tie In Another Product Or Service. Is your product completely self-contained? If someone used your product and still had questions, how can they go about asking them? Do you offer consultations? Do you offer a free answer to a question to everyone who bought your products? Do you have a membership web site, where members can ask you questions? Make sure you mention this in your product.
Products that you have created (e-books, reports, audio recordings, membership web sites) are great new income streams for your business. They are also great vehicles to promote your business and your brand further.
