- Do very few people register for your teleseminars, even if they are very reasonably priced?
- Have you ever had to cancel your teleseminar after spending many hours creating the materials and researching bridge lines, because you only had one person registered?
- Are you not sure how to find people who would be interested in attending your teleseminars?
If you answered "Yes" to at least one of the above questions, you are not alone. I routinely hear from coaches, consultants and other solopreneurs who tell me that they have issues filling up their teleseminars. After trying to teach their teleseminars a couple of times, they stop doing teleseminars altogether. Why offer them if no one is signing up for them?
After speaking to many solopreneurs who reported having issues getting teleseminar sign-ups, I found out the 3 main reasons why they are not able to get the sign-ups. Here are the reasons along with information on how to correct them:
Sometimes a professional finds a topic that he or she is passionate about. The professional creates materials and workbooks around the topic and announces a teleseminar on the topic. The professional waits and waits, but no one registers for the teleseminar.

Instead, find out what the topics of interest to your target market are and then create teleseminars around these topics.
Posting information about your teleseminar on your web site is not enough and will not bring you a flood of sign-ups.
Post about them on your online networking groups that allow you to post information about you upcoming events.
Use all the marketing channels available to you to get the word out. The more people hear about your teleseminar, the more people will sign up for it.
If you have gotten your message out there to be seen by many people, and it is not generating the response you are looking for, the message itself might be at fault.
Do your marketing messages outline the benefits that your clients will receive by attending your teleseminars? If they don't, it is time to change your marketing copy.
When you are creating your marketing copy, make sure that both your e-mail copy and your web site copy are written from your customer's point of view and specifically outlines how they will benefit from your teleseminar offerings.
Review your teleseminar strategy and make sure you incorporate the tips above going forward. Doing this will help you get many more people register for your teleseminars.
