Are you getting results from your newsletter? Many solopreneurs hire me because their newsletter is not getting them the results they want. Many solopreneurs put their hearts and souls into writing their newsletters, but they are not getting the results they want. They are not getting more client inquiries, they are not getting more e-book sales and their subscribers do not register for their teleseminars.
If this sounds like you, I have something that will help you! I have put together a plan to help you determine why your newsletter is not bringing in the results that you want.
Below are three most common reasons for why your newsletter is not producing the results you want. Use this information to improve your newsletter and start getting results.
- Your subscriber list is not targeted. Many business owners know that the larger your e-mail list is, the better results it can bring. They promote the list everywhere and invite everyone they know to join.
As a result, their subscriber list consists of members of the local PTA, their high school classmates, and random online acquaintances.
Since the people on the list are not targeted, you will not get results by sending your newsletter to this list. To get results, subscribers on your list have to be members of your target market.
- You don't publish your newsletter often enough. If you want to get the best results from your list, your subscribers need to hear from you on a regular basis. This way your subscribers start expecting your newsletter at regular intervals, and they get to know you better and better every time they hear from you.
Make sure you publish your newsletter on a regular basis -- this is the most effective way to get your subscribers to get to know you and your business. Remember -- people buy from people they know. By publishing your newsletter on a regular basis you help your subscribers to get to know you better.
- Your list is not large enough. If you are doing everything right -- your subscribers are targeted, you publish interesting newsletter on a regular basis -- and you are still not getting results that you want, this is because your e-mail list is not large enough (yet!).
Not everyone on the list is going to be buying from you. You need to have a large enough list so that even if only 5-20% of your subscribers buy from you, you can still get sales on a regular basis. Grow your list every day. Doing this will help you transform newsletter into one that gets results.
Remember -- your list needs to be targeted and large and you need to publish your newsletter on a regular basis to get results.
