Do you know what is happening all over the Internet while you are reading this article? Potential customers visit service professionals' web sites with a credit card in hand, ready to buy. Then they look around the web site and leave without buying anything.
This is happening on thousands of web sites every single day. Chances are, it is happening on your own web site as well. People are coming to your web site and leaving before they buy anything.
I have reviewed thousands of service professionals' web sites and found a few different reasons for why this is happening. Here are three most common reasons:
- Your Web Site Is Hard To Use And Navigate. Quite a few web sites that I visit are very confusing. It is difficult to figure out how to request more information, how to find out more about the web site owner, and how to get additional information about products and services offered on the web site. If you want to gain more customers online, make sure that your web site is easy to use and navigate.
- You Web Site Copy Is Not Compelling Enough To Convince A Potential Customer To Make A Purchase. Sometimes a web site looks good, but nothing on the web site is compelling enough for me to stop, learn more about the products and services offered and buy something.
Give your visitors real reasons to continue browsing and reading your web site. Show them the real benefits of buying your products, hiring you and subscribing to your newsletter.
For example, to increase the number of your newsletter subscribers, offer a gift of a special report, or some other product to your newsletter subscribers. This will give them a compelling reason to subscribe to your newsletter.
- You Are Giving Your Potential Customers Too Many Choices. The best way to market a product is to create marketing materials specifically for that product and nothing else. When you do this, you will focus your customers' attention. You will be able to get more sales by focusing your customers' attention.
Never try to sell more then one product on each one of your sales pages. Concentrate on making each page sell only one product.
Increase your web site sales by using the recommendations above to improve your web site.
