Use Press Releases To Get Search Engine Traffic

Sunday, September 17th, 2006

A few days ago I had the pleasure of hosting Press Power 101 – Become a Powerhouse with the Media Telseminar with Diana Ennen. Diana told us that we can use Press Releases to get more search engine traffic to our web site.

To do that you need to find good keywords to use in your press release and then use keywords in the heading for the Press Release and in the body of the Press Release. When you submit the press release to press release web sites, they will be indexed by search engines, and then, people using your keywords to search will be able to find your press releases.

This way you can rank in search engines using your press releases. How cool is that?
Diana shared a lot more tips, including

– Nuts and bolts of maximizing the publicity for your business

– What makes reporters notice your press release and use it for an article

– How to use articles and press releases to market your business

– When to send a press release and when to send an article to maximize your chances for publicity

There are lots of tips on the recording of the call, that will help you market your business better with publicity.

How To Market A Book With Articles

Saturday, September 9th, 2006

I have recommended to many of my clients to submit their articles to online article directories. It helps you increase awareness for your book, drive more traffic to your web site and article market helps you get more search engine traffic.

In addition, online article directories don’t require exclusivity, so you can use the same article to market yourself and your book in many different places. Here is how you can market your books with articles:

Write articles that would be of interest to the same people who would be interested in reading your book. These people are also known as your target market.

Create a compelling resource box at the end of the article – this is where you tell the reader who you are and why they should visit your web site. Don’t waste this space – make sure that the information is interesting enough to get the people click over and visit your web site.

Submit your articles to as many good article directories as you can – more exposure means more traffic to your book.

I have taught a class on using articles for promoting your business online, and you can get the recording of it at Article Marketing For Profits. The recording includes a list of article directories that I recommend submitting your articles to.

How To Find Blogging Topics

Thursday, September 7th, 2006

What do you blog about? How do you find topics to discuss on your blog? For me, the topics to write about are pretty much everywhere – an article I read, tips I want to share, an interesting post I read on another blog, etc.

A tip that I have for you is that you can (and should!) recycle everything you write. I post on a few different mailing lists and when I post information/ideas that I think would be of
interest to my blog readers, I post the message to the blog as well. This way, I use the message for the list and blog. And, if I make it longer, it will become an article.

Here is an article I wrote a while ago on finding topics to blog about:Finding Business Blogging Topics For Business Blogs.

How To Increase Web Site Traffic

Saturday, September 2nd, 2006

Many online business owners ask me how to increase their web site traffic. As a business owner, you should remember that increasing your web site traffic is not important, what IS important, is increasing targeted web site traffic. Targeted traffic are people interested in your products and services. For example, if you sell high end jewelry, your targeted traffic will be women looking for diamond earrings or men looking for engagement rings.

Getting a lof of consistent, targeted traffic should be every online business owner’s goal. Targeted traffic is interested in your products and services before it even comes to your web site.

Here information about a few sources different of targeted traffic and tips on getting more of it to your web site:

– Source of targeted traffic: Search Engines. If your web site is properly optimized for search engines, you can get a lot of targeted, useful traffic.

How to increase it: By doing search engine optimization. Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of modifying web site and outside elements in order to bring more search engine traffic. You can learn more about search engine optimization for your web site in the Search Engine Optimization Special Report.

– Source of targeted traffic: Pay Per Clik Search Engines. You can bring targeted traffic to your web site by bidding on proper keywords with pay per click search engines. As you pay for every click, be careful about the keywords you bid on, and the daily budget for your campaigns.

How to increase it: By finding the optimal combination of keywords that you need and setting an optimal daily budget. Monitor and experiment with your pay per click campaigns – trying different things will help you find the most profitable keywords.

– Source of targeted traffic: Posting Articles Online. Write articles on topics related to your business, and your articles will be read by your potential customers.

How to increase it: Leverage your articles – post it on different article banks and encourage others to reprint them. Doing this will help you get in front of many people you would have never reached otherwise.

You will also be using leverage – by writing an article once, you will be able to use it many times to get exposure for your business.

So how can YOUR web site get more targeted visitors? Over to you – let’s take action:

– Take a look at your web site statistics. Learn where your targeted web site visitors are already coming from – are they coming from search engines? Link exchanges? Article banks? Your blog? The Understanding Web Site Statistics Special Report will help you navigate your web site statistics and understand how to use it to get the information you need for marketing your web site better.

– Based on the statistics, pick one source of targeted traffic to work on. It could be a source from which you are already receiving traffic, and would like to get more traffic from. Or, it could be a completely new source, from which you are not receiving any traffic, but would like to start.

– Learn as much as you can about the traffic source you pick. And than start working on getting targeted traffic. When you concentrate on one source, your efforts are fairly focused, and you will be able to get more targeted traffic to your web site.

By building up targeted traffic, you will be able to get more customers and improve your bottom line.

Successful Online Marketing System

Monday, August 28th, 2006

Many people have asked me about my Online Marketing System – what do I do and how do I do to keep my business successful, and keep customers coming to me every day.

I have created Biana’s Successful Online Marketing System, that consists of three steps:

Step 1. Create a web site, that is irressistable to your target customers.

Step 2. Populate your web site with products and services that your target market wants to buy.

Step 3. Use online marketing techniques to drive qualified traffic to your web site every single day.

A lot of different things go into each step. Of course, in order to create a web site that your target market will love, you need to know what your target market needs. This involves target market research, surveys and much more.

Same goes for your products and services – you need to KNOW what your target market needs in order to come up with products and services they want.

And when you need to drive traffic to your web site, you need to know exactly how to use search engine optimization, when to start business blogging and how to use articles in order to get clients to your web site.

You can use Biana’s Successful Online Marketing System to get a successful online business, or you can speed up the process and create a successful online business much faster with my Online Business and Marketing Coaching.

Article Marketing Tips

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

There are quite a few web sites to submit your articles to. However, just submitting articles is not enough; in order to get more web site traffic and clients by publishing articles, you need to make sure that:

Your articles promote your expertise. If your articles are not reflecting the expertise you want to promote, you will not the results you want from them.

Your resource box must be powerful. The resource box at the end of the article is what will get people to come to your web site and learn about you. Make sure that your resource box can drive traffic to your web site.

You submit articles on a regular basis. Article marketing is not a one time event, but a process. By writing articles and submitting them on a regular basis, you will get results.

I taught a class last month, called Article Marketing For Profits, during which I discussed how to use articles to promote your business. Click Here to Get The Audio Recording Of The Class, and to learn nuts and bolts of article marketing.

Top 3 Ways To Get Web Site Traffic

Monday, August 21st, 2006

Here is a question I was asked a few weeks ago:

Biana, if you could only use three techniques to generate web site traffic, what would they be?

Well, I hope I can use more then just three techniques (because I already use many more), but here are 3 of my favorite ways to generate traffic:

Business Blogging. Start a blog for your business and update it on a regular basis. A business blog is an excellent tool to toot your own horn, let the world know about your new products, and tell your target customers why they should do business with you, rather than your competitor. A business blog is also a great tool for attracting potential customers to your blog and your web site.
Search Engine Optimization (or SEO). SEO is the process of modifying web page content and meta-information to improve the search engine ranking of the page. Successful search engine optimization will greatly increase the number of visitors that come to your web site since over 70% of people who are looking for products and services use search engines to locate them.

Article Writing and Publishing. This is another great way to drive traffic to your web site. When you write and publish your articles, other web site owners pick them up and publish them on their web sites, while giving you a link back to your web site.

Need more clients? You can learn how to use business blogging, search engine optimization, article writing and publishing to get more clients at MarketingSalad.com, the online business coaching community for solopreneurs. Here is what one of MarketingSalad.com members says about her membership:

“I came to Marketing Salad with many, many things on my “to-do” list. Most had been there for at least a couple of years. They were things like writing and submitting articles on the internet, starting a blog, increasing my newsletter list, and on and on. I read articles and listened to classes trying to learn how to accomplish these tasks, but I never took action, it was too overwhelming.

After joining Marketing Salad just a couple of months ago, I have been on a roll! Biana’s how-to guides have given me simple, step-by-step procedures that are easy to implement. The classes have been amazing. I believe she gives more in a one-hour teleclass than I ever got in other classes on the same subject, combined! I now have several things crossed off of my to-do list. I have a system for writing and distributing articles and have submitted eight so far. I am currently having two blogs set up for me and I am ready to start blogging thanks to Biana’s class. I have implemented many ideas for growing my newsletter list. And, my favorite part is if I have a question, I can just ask on the forum. I can always get my questioned answered and talk with other business owners who are willing to share information and experience with me.

Thanks, Biana for Marketing Salad! I can now spend more of my time with clients instead of marketing! I am so glad I found you!

What Is Easier To Promote New Product or Old Product?

Friday, August 4th, 2006

While it might seem that it is easier to promote a new product (all the cool, new product buzz), there lots of different ways to promote an older product, as long as it is relevant to your target market.

When you have just created a page about the new product online, the page is brand new. This means that search engines don’t know about it, there are no incoming links to it, etc. As the web page matures, while you are (hopefully) marketing the product online, search engines index it, there are more and more incoming links to it, more people are recommending it, after buying it themselves, etc. The buzz is building on top of buzz, and more and more people are learning about your product.

But how do you start creating buzz? Which techniques should you use? Here is an article I wrote on Online Marketing Techniques To Drive Traffic You Your Web Site.

Linking Directly To Your Products

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

I had lots of fun teaching Article Marketing for Profits Teleclass last week. One of the things we discussed was the importance of linking directly to your product, newsletter, special bonus, from the resource box of the article.

Why should you link directly to the product, instead of the main page of your web site? As you know, I always recommend to make your marketing as targeted as possible. You can do that very easily with article marketing – when you write an article on a particular topic, and offer a gift or a product in the resource box, related to the article’s theme, you are doing targeted article marketing. Since your article reader is interested in the article’s topic, offering a gift or a product related to the article increases the possibility that the reader will actually click on the link in the resource box, and learn more about your product.

Let’s say your wrote an article about time management. The best bet for your resource box is to offer a link to a free or a for-fee product of yours about time management. If your article is on time management, and you offer a link to a product on networking, you will not get as many takers.

You can get lots more article marketing tips and tricks in my Article Marketing Audio Guide.

An Income Stream For You

Wednesday, July 26th, 2006

As you may know, I am a big proponent of having multiple streams of income. I have diversified my own income streams – I do a lot of coaching/consulting, but I also have ebooks, audio recordings and teleseminars.

Why is it important to have multiple streams of income? Because if all of your income comes from coaching/consulting and working one on one with clients, your income is limited. There are just so many hours in a day, and they put a limit on the amount you earn. However, by creating multiple streams of income, and selling products, in addition to services, you can increase your profits, without increasing the time spent on generating them.
Ready for a new income stream for your solopreneurs business? I help other business owners add another income stream to their business. Many business owners have created a passive income stream by selling my products. They are earning money by inviting their colleagues and newsletter subscribers to my teleseminars, or posting information about my latest ebooks and programs.
Today and tomorrow you can earn money by inviting people to attend my Article Marketing for Profits Teleclass. You will earn 40% commissions on everyone you refer. Start earning – register for the Avocado Consulting Affiliate Program, it is free to sign up.
