Online Marketing Secret – Article Marketing

Wednesday, July 19th, 2006

Every time I speak about online marketing, I get many questions on how to get their name out there, get more newsletter subscribers and clients. To achieve many of these things I use article marketing. Here is why:
– Your Potential Clients Search For Your Online Before Hiring You. Many people use search engines to find information about professionals, they want to hire. If you search for my name in quotes, “Biana Babinsky”, in Google, you will find thousands of results. Many of the results are due to me writing and publishing articles online. When potential clients search for me online, these results give me credibility.

– Publishing Articles Online Promotes Your Expertise. When your potential clients read your articles, they consider you an expert. It is much easier to sell your products and services to people, who consider you an expert.

– You Can Use Your Articles To Get Better Search Engine Rankings. Better search engine rankings bring more targeted search engine traffic to your web site, and more traffic means more newsletter subscribers and more sales for your business.

Article marketing is one of my secret weapons to sell my products and services. Want to learn how I use it? Join me for the Article Marketing For Profits Teleseminar

What Are Your 12 Months Goals?

Friday, July 14th, 2006

Many solopreneurs have BIG goals for the next 12 months. For example, here are goals that lots of solopreneurs have for the next 12 months:

Passive Income Goal: Create at least three products (books, ebooks, special reports, audio CDs) and sell them on their web site.

Web Site Traffic Goal: Increase web site traffic at least 10 times, using article marketing and search engine optimization.

Business Blogging Goal: Create a blog and blog on a regular basis. Have the blog attract a lot of traffic, and use it to create brand awareness, leads and sales for the business.

These sound like a great goals, but the problem is that many solopreneurs don’t follow up on them. 12 months come and go, and they are not any closer to implementing these
goals for their business.

After talking to many solopreneurs, I find this happens for a few different reasons:

Solopreneurs and online business owners would love to implement the goals, but they do not know how to do that. They don’t know how to do search engine optimization, get a business blog or create and start selling an e-book.

They search for the information online, become overwhelmed with all the information available, and are not able to extract the information they need.

Solopreneurs need to ask follow-up questions about marketing techniques. Many have told me that after buying an information product on search engine optimization, online marketing or passive income stream, they still need some help implementing the techniques discussed.

Since they can’t ask the author more questions about implementing the techniques in their business, they give up on marketing techniques and their goals.

They are not connected with peer professionals. To stay on track and keep motivated, you need to be connected with peers who are working on similar goals. You can also ask your peers for feedback on your products and for testimonials and bonuses to include with your new products.

My Complete Online Marketing System, addresses all of the above issues and helps business owners achieve their passive income, web site traffic and blogging goals. Here is how it does that:

Article Marketing

Friday, June 2nd, 2006

More and more people ask me about article marketing, posting articles online and getting results from these actions. I LOVE article marketing – quite a few of my newsletter subscribers and clients have found me through the articles I have posted/shared online.

The best part about writing articles is submitting them to web sites, that in turn let others re-print them. As people re-print your articles on their blogs and web sites, you get a lot more exposure to people who would not have heard about your or your business otherwise.

Since a Resource Box that you include with your articles includes a link back to your web site, article submission helps build up more links, and, thus, more traffic to your web site.

Two of my favorite sites are ezinearticles.com and ideamarketers.com. I have included 20 of my favorite article submissions web sites with my Article Marketing for Profits Recording.

Article Submission Web Sites

Wednesday, May 24th, 2006

Do you have your favorite article submissions web sites, the ones that get you results? A few that I like are ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com and International Practice Articles.
However, you should remember that different articles on different topics can produce different reponse rates. For example, some of my articles are re-printed more and used more on other web sites then others.

Your best bet is to track performance for different articles across different directories, and see which ones perform better.

And don’t forget to use other online marketing techniques – business blogging, newsletter publishing, search engine optimization – to supplement article promotion.

List Or Product First?

Wednesday, May 24th, 2006

What should you do first – create a large newsletter list OR create a product that you can promote (ebook, report, etc)?

Why not do both? List building should be done every day – through your blog, articles, other marketing efforts.

But even if you complete a product, and your list is still small, you can lots of other things with your product:

– You can still sell it to your list
– You can start getting affiliates to promote it with you
– You can use parts of your product to create teleseminars, recordings and other products.

Three Ways To Get More Newsletter Subscribers

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

When you create a product, you want to let as many people as possible know about it. After all, the more people know about your products, the more of them will be able to buy it, and the more money you will make. The best way to achieve that is byy having your own opt-in mailing list.

If you already have an opt-in list, here is how to drive more mailing list subscribers:

– Write articles and submit them to online article directories. Make sure that your resource box invites the readers to subscribe to your newsletter / offers a gift to subscribe.

– Use search engine optimization to optimize your web site and drive new newsletter subscribers.

– Blog and feature your newsletter subscribe box prominently on your blog.

Passive Income Stream: Affiliate Revenue

Thursday, May 4th, 2006

Many coaches, consultants and other solopreneurs that I know miss out on a very important income stream – earning money from affiliate programs. Quite a few people told me (and I agree with this) that they are in business to promote their business and their products, not someone else’s products, even if they get paid for every sale.

You are, of course, in business for yourself, so a lot of your time should be spend on promoting your brand, your business, your products and services. However, there are times when you are talking about, recommending, or even blogging about someone else’s products. And that would be a perfect time to use their affiliate program to earn affiliate revenue.

In the past few weeks I witnessed dozens of business owners blogging, e-mailing and recommending products, all without using their affiliate links. Here are just some of those situations:

Recommending a Product on a Blog/Mailing List. If someone asks for a product recommendation, and you know of a product that they need, and can personally recommend it, why not recommend it with an affiliate link?

If you have a book to recommend, Amazon.com has an affiliate program that helps you link to any book on their web site – great option, and you earn money recommending books that you love.

Cross Promotions And Join Ventures. Many of you participate in join ventures and cross promotions with other business owners. If you are recommending someone else’s web site or product, make sure you use their affiliate link to link to them. This way you will earn money for every sale without any extra efforts on your part, since you are already participating in the cross promotion.

Using Other People’s Articles. Many business owners I know re-print articles from others’ web sites. If you re-print articles, check to see if the author allows you to replace a link in the Resource Box with your affiliate link, thus earning you money.

I encourage my affiliates to re-print my articles with their affiliate links, as this is a great way for my affiliates to earn more money.

Search Engine Optimization Teleseminar Tomorrow

Wednesday, April 26th, 2006

Hi, everyone

Many online business owners have told me exactly the same thing – they have created a web site on their own (or paid someone to create a web site for them), the web site has been online for a while, but the web site is not generating any sales.

After 1, 3, or even 5 years online, business owners keep paying for web site hosting and maintenance, but they are not making any money with the web site.

If you don’t have web site traffic, spending money on web site design, hosting and maintenance is a complete waste of money. A web site without traffic is like a store that no one goes to – if no one comes through the doors, no one is buying.

The only way to get sales and make money with your web site is if you have good, targeted traffic coming to your web site every day.

You can get target traffic to your web site by doing search engine optimization. Search engine traffic is great – it is f_r_e_e, and if you know how to drive it to your web site, you can get it to your web site every single day.

Tomorrow I will discussing the steps you need to take to get f_r_e_e search engine traffic to your web site. Here is what you will learn:

– How search engines work, explained in plain English

– Why choosing the right keywords is extremely important for your business, and what tools to use to find these keywords

– How to find your current search engine rankings, and how to improve them

– You might already have the perfect keywords for your web site – and I will tell you where to find them

– Which elements of your web site might be working against getting better search engine rankings, and how to fix them

– How link exchanges can help you get better search engine rankings

– Why writing articles is the best thing you can do to get more search engine traffic

and much more.

How To Increase The Number of Newsletter Subscribers

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006

Many of you have asked how to get more subscribers for your newsletter. Here are some of the things I use to get more newsletter subscribers:

Article Publishing. Publishing articles with Resource Box linking back to your newsletter page encourages your article readers to subscribe to your newsletter.

Search Engine Optimization. More search engine traffic to your web site means more people come to your web site, and are able to subscribe to your newsletter.

Create more awareness for your newsletter. Mention your newsletter everywhere. Mention it during your events, offer a subscription on your blog, ask your current subscribers to forward it to others who might be interested, ask people to subscribe on every page of your web site. The more you mention your newsletter, the more subscribers you will get.

Jessica Albon, a newsletter consultant, has shared many great ways to get newsletter subscribers during a teleseminar she gave at MarketingSalad.com. You may pick up the recording here: How to Add Hundreds of Subscribers to Your Newsletter.
