How To Fill Up Your Teleclasses

Monday, September 11th, 2006

What is a teleclass? A teleclass is a class that you teach over the phone. To teach a teleclass, you need material to teach, participants for the class, and a bridge line to bring you and the participants together.
There are many services that would offer you a bridge lines for free and other services, such as recording (if you need it) for a fee. One of such web sites is https://www.freeaudioconferencing.com

The companies that provide bridge lines only provide bridge lines. They don’t advertise your teleseminar to people. This means that you need to market your teleclass online in order to get participants, and make money by teaching teleclasses.

To fill up your teleclasses, you need to market your teleclasses online. I teach many popular, sold-out teleseminars, and here is what I recommend you do:

Be very clear on your target market. You need to know exactly you want to invite to the teleseminars; without knowing this, you will not be able to market your teleseminars effectively.

Create a mailing list for your business. Offer a special gift to everyone who subscribes (a free report, ebook, audio recording, etc). Send out interesting, helpful newsletter on a regular basis and let the subscribers know about your upcoming teleclasses.

Start a blog for your business, and let your blog readers know about your teleclasses.

How To Find Blogging Topics

Thursday, September 7th, 2006

What do you blog about? How do you find topics to discuss on your blog? For me, the topics to write about are pretty much everywhere – an article I read, tips I want to share, an interesting post I read on another blog, etc.

A tip that I have for you is that you can (and should!) recycle everything you write. I post on a few different mailing lists and when I post information/ideas that I think would be of
interest to my blog readers, I post the message to the blog as well. This way, I use the message for the list and blog. And, if I make it longer, it will become an article.

Here is an article I wrote a while ago on finding topics to blog about:Finding Business Blogging Topics For Business Blogs.

How To Increase Web Site Traffic

Saturday, September 2nd, 2006

Many online business owners ask me how to increase their web site traffic. As a business owner, you should remember that increasing your web site traffic is not important, what IS important, is increasing targeted web site traffic. Targeted traffic are people interested in your products and services. For example, if you sell high end jewelry, your targeted traffic will be women looking for diamond earrings or men looking for engagement rings.

Getting a lof of consistent, targeted traffic should be every online business owner’s goal. Targeted traffic is interested in your products and services before it even comes to your web site.

Here information about a few sources different of targeted traffic and tips on getting more of it to your web site:

– Source of targeted traffic: Search Engines. If your web site is properly optimized for search engines, you can get a lot of targeted, useful traffic.

How to increase it: By doing search engine optimization. Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of modifying web site and outside elements in order to bring more search engine traffic. You can learn more about search engine optimization for your web site in the Search Engine Optimization Special Report.

– Source of targeted traffic: Pay Per Clik Search Engines. You can bring targeted traffic to your web site by bidding on proper keywords with pay per click search engines. As you pay for every click, be careful about the keywords you bid on, and the daily budget for your campaigns.

How to increase it: By finding the optimal combination of keywords that you need and setting an optimal daily budget. Monitor and experiment with your pay per click campaigns – trying different things will help you find the most profitable keywords.

– Source of targeted traffic: Posting Articles Online. Write articles on topics related to your business, and your articles will be read by your potential customers.

How to increase it: Leverage your articles – post it on different article banks and encourage others to reprint them. Doing this will help you get in front of many people you would have never reached otherwise.

You will also be using leverage – by writing an article once, you will be able to use it many times to get exposure for your business.

So how can YOUR web site get more targeted visitors? Over to you – let’s take action:

– Take a look at your web site statistics. Learn where your targeted web site visitors are already coming from – are they coming from search engines? Link exchanges? Article banks? Your blog? The Understanding Web Site Statistics Special Report will help you navigate your web site statistics and understand how to use it to get the information you need for marketing your web site better.

– Based on the statistics, pick one source of targeted traffic to work on. It could be a source from which you are already receiving traffic, and would like to get more traffic from. Or, it could be a completely new source, from which you are not receiving any traffic, but would like to start.

– Learn as much as you can about the traffic source you pick. And than start working on getting targeted traffic. When you concentrate on one source, your efforts are fairly focused, and you will be able to get more targeted traffic to your web site.

By building up targeted traffic, you will be able to get more customers and improve your bottom line.

Marketing Your Coaching Business With Your Blog

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

My blog is an excellent marketing tool for me, and it brings leads and clients to my business.

Sometime ago, my recommendation to clients was to have a web site, that has information about a business (services, products, newsletter, articles, etc), and a blog, used to communicate with potential clients. However, now some blogging software (WordPress, for example), let’s you create web pages, as well as a blog. This really blurred the lines between web sites and blogs and let’s you create whatever you need, using that software.

My recommendation is to start blogging, and provide useful and interesting posts that your target market would want to read.
The purpose of your blog is to get people who are in your target market to read your posts and enter your sphere of influence. Traffic from search engines does not cost any money, and it is a great way to get potential customers to your blog.

Treat each one of your blog posts as a separate file to be optimized for search engines. Use a keyword research tool to find phrases that are related to the main subject of the post, and weave them into the content of the post.

My e-book, Complete Step by Step Online Marketing Course contains lessons on effective business blogging, as well as keyword research and search engine optimization.

New Blogs Versus Old Blogs

Thursday, August 24th, 2006

Question: Can a new, often updated blog overtake its older, more established competitor in search engine rankings?

Answer: There are three issues that are at play here:

1) SEO you do

2) SEO your competitors do

3) Search engine algorithm

Given that noone(except the search engine developers) know the exact algorithm, it is not possible to guarantee top search engine placement or to guarantee that one web site will be placed better than another web site. On top of this, Google changes its algorithm on a regular basis, and every time there is a change in the algorithm, there is a corresponding change in web sites’ rankings.

Having said that, fresh content, using linking effectively and good SEO techniques, will help you improve your blog’s standing over time. My Step by Step Search Engine Optimization Special Report will help you better undestand Search Engine Optimization(SEO) and do SEO for your web site and blog.

Top 3 Ways To Get Web Site Traffic

Monday, August 21st, 2006

Here is a question I was asked a few weeks ago:

Biana, if you could only use three techniques to generate web site traffic, what would they be?

Well, I hope I can use more then just three techniques (because I already use many more), but here are 3 of my favorite ways to generate traffic:

Business Blogging. Start a blog for your business and update it on a regular basis. A business blog is an excellent tool to toot your own horn, let the world know about your new products, and tell your target customers why they should do business with you, rather than your competitor. A business blog is also a great tool for attracting potential customers to your blog and your web site.
Search Engine Optimization (or SEO). SEO is the process of modifying web page content and meta-information to improve the search engine ranking of the page. Successful search engine optimization will greatly increase the number of visitors that come to your web site since over 70% of people who are looking for products and services use search engines to locate them.

Article Writing and Publishing. This is another great way to drive traffic to your web site. When you write and publish your articles, other web site owners pick them up and publish them on their web sites, while giving you a link back to your web site.

Need more clients? You can learn how to use business blogging, search engine optimization, article writing and publishing to get more clients at MarketingSalad.com, the online business coaching community for solopreneurs. Here is what one of MarketingSalad.com members says about her membership:

“I came to Marketing Salad with many, many things on my “to-do” list. Most had been there for at least a couple of years. They were things like writing and submitting articles on the internet, starting a blog, increasing my newsletter list, and on and on. I read articles and listened to classes trying to learn how to accomplish these tasks, but I never took action, it was too overwhelming.

After joining Marketing Salad just a couple of months ago, I have been on a roll! Biana’s how-to guides have given me simple, step-by-step procedures that are easy to implement. The classes have been amazing. I believe she gives more in a one-hour teleclass than I ever got in other classes on the same subject, combined! I now have several things crossed off of my to-do list. I have a system for writing and distributing articles and have submitted eight so far. I am currently having two blogs set up for me and I am ready to start blogging thanks to Biana’s class. I have implemented many ideas for growing my newsletter list. And, my favorite part is if I have a question, I can just ask on the forum. I can always get my questioned answered and talk with other business owners who are willing to share information and experience with me.

Thanks, Biana for Marketing Salad! I can now spend more of my time with clients instead of marketing! I am so glad I found you!

How To Get Coaching Clients Online

Monday, August 14th, 2006

I have taught quite a few coaches how to get more clients online. The first step for getting more coaching clients is defining your niche, or your target market.

Once you know who your target market is, you have three goals:

Driving your target market to your web site

Getting your target market to subscribe to your newsletter

Keeping in touch and building relationships with your target market using your newsletter. This step will help you turn your newsletter subscribers into clients.

#2 is straightforward – you need to have a prominent newsletter subscribe box on your web site, and encourage your web site visitors to subscribe to your newsletter. The best way to do that is by offering something at no charge (a report, e-book or e-course) as a bonus to subscribers.

#3 can be accomplished by publishing useful, interesting newsletters on a regular basis.

This leaves us with #1, driving your target market to your web site. How can you accomplish that?

Here are a few different ways to do that:

– Online Networking. Network in groups that your target market participates in and mention your newsletter web address in your signature.

Search Engine Optimization (or SEO). SEO is the process of modifying web page content and meta-information to improve the search engine ranking of the page. Successful search engine optimization will greatly increase the number of visitors that come to your web site since over 70% of people who are looking for products and services use search engines to locate them. Make sure that your web site is optimized for
search engines, so that your target market can find it.

– Business Blogging. Start a blog for your business and update it on a regular basis. A business blog is an excellent tool to toot your own horn, and let your target market know about your business. My business blog drives
newsletter subscribers and clients to my web site every single day.

How To Create Buzz For Your New Product

Wednesday, August 9th, 2006

Are you working on a new book or an ebook? Then now is the time to create buzz for this new product!

What tools will you use to do that? Take a look at blogs. As more and more people are reading blogs, bloggers are becoming influential in recommending resources and creating buzz for new products. My very own blog readers (you know who you are :) sometimes ask me to recommend a products that will help them market and promote themselves online.

Look for blogs that your target audience reads, and approach the person(or people) who blog on it. Maybe they can review your book or ebook on the blog? Give away a copy to one of the readers in a raffle? Promote your book on their blog through your affiliate program? See if you can create a win-win situation for yourself and the blogger – this will help you get exposed to a whole new audience.

And don’t forget to start your own blog. It will help you brand your business and products further and create your own brand online. For more information on promoting your business with a blog, take a look at 5 Steps to Success with Business Blogging Special Report.

Couple-surfing: Love me, love my blog

Tuesday, August 8th, 2006

Internet and blogging are becoming a part of daily life for some couples. Couple-surfing: ‘Love me, love my blog’ says that some couples don’t communicate about some subjects verbally. Instead, they use a blog.

So, what exactly is couple surfing? According to the article,

“Coined by bloggers responding to a column on the online version of “Wired” magazine, couple-surfing describes “netaholics” or “infomaniacs” who surf alongside each other — doing together what used to be seen as a solitary activity.”

So what does this mean for you, an business owner? More and more of these articles on new uses of the Internet are telling me that more and more people are using the Internet, and even more about interested in doing that. Articles are written in hopes that people will read them. If there weren’t any readership, the Internet-related articles would not be appearing as frequently in the mainstream media.

And, as Internet becomes more and more prevalent, more and more people will be using it to get products and services they need.

What Is Easier To Promote New Product or Old Product?

Friday, August 4th, 2006

While it might seem that it is easier to promote a new product (all the cool, new product buzz), there lots of different ways to promote an older product, as long as it is relevant to your target market.

When you have just created a page about the new product online, the page is brand new. This means that search engines don’t know about it, there are no incoming links to it, etc. As the web page matures, while you are (hopefully) marketing the product online, search engines index it, there are more and more incoming links to it, more people are recommending it, after buying it themselves, etc. The buzz is building on top of buzz, and more and more people are learning about your product.

But how do you start creating buzz? Which techniques should you use? Here is an article I wrote on Online Marketing Techniques To Drive Traffic You Your Web Site.
