Are Sales Letters Effective?

Many coaches, consultants and other service business owners have asked me if sales letters and product sales letters are effective.
I am sure you have seen sales letters written to promote ebooks, teleseminars and other information products. Sales letters / sales pages are extremely effective. You can make your sales letter a part of your larget web site, or you can buy a whole new domain just to sell a new product. For example, your sales letter is for something not completely related to your main web site or a separate free offer, I would put it on a new web site.

If it is for a product, and you have similar products on your web site, I would just put them together on the same web site.

I always recommend to my clients to learn how to write their own sales letters. You know your products better then anyone else, so you will be able to write the best sales letter for them.

Also, once you know how to write one sales letter, you know how to write them all. This means that you will be able to write sales letters for all of your products and services.

Are You Overwhelmed?

If you are overwhelmed, working with your one-on-one clients, you are not alone. I was just like that a few years ago. I had a lot of web design/consulting work, but all this work was overwhelming, and I had absolutely no time to take vacation, take time for myself or do anything else. In fact, sometimes I didn’t have the time to market my business.

After some time I was ready for a change, and I switched from the One-on-One Services business model to a Multiple Streams Of Income business model for my business.

I have created e-books, special reports, audio recordings, teleseminars and a membership web site. Now I have many income streams bringing in revenue every single day, so that I do not have to consult full time. I am able to take more time off and not be overwhelmed. And I have a lot of time allocated for my own marketing/promotion.

If you want to not be overwhelmed, and work less, while making more money, here is what I recommend. Start by sitting down and creating a plan – which products would you
like to create first? How will you go about it?
Start by teaching your own teleseminars. Teleseminars are seminars taught over the phone. When you teach seminars over the phone you don’t have to commute to/and from them and you won’t have to spend as much time on them.

There are many possibilities, but creating a plan will give you an idea of how you would
like to mover forward.

Work Less, Make More Money

Internet Copywriting Tips

Here are some tips for you for Internet Copy writing:

Write your copy from the point of view of your clients. This means that you need to concentrate on what your clients will get when they hire you, buy your products, subscribe for your newsletter, etc.

Use few ‘I”s and many more ‘you”s, to show your clients how they will benefit from your products. Remember, it is all about them.

Make your web copy easy to read. Don’t go on and on, with long paragraphs and no breaks. Write in shorter sentences and small paragraphs. Use a lot of white space and subtitles to separate your web copy into small chunks. Doing this makes your copy easier to read.

Drop that jargon! While you are an expert in your field, your clients are not. Therefore they will not be able to understand your jargon.

Use testimonials. Many people say that they bought a product online because they read lots of great testimonials about it. However, many business owners forget to include testimonials for their products.

Don’t use a testimonial if it doesn’t say great things, though, as it will do more harm than good. If you don’t like someone’s testimonial, it might just be because they aren’t sure how to write one. In this case, contact them and ask if they can change it for you. Or, re-write it yourself, and ask for their permission to use the re-written testimonial. Many times you will get permission to do so.
