Turn Your Web Site Visitors Info Customers

Friday, August 11th, 2006

There are a few reasons why your numerous web site visitors are not turning into customers:

– You might be attracting the wrong customers. You need to make sure that your marketing/advertising is communicating the right message to the right people. If people who come to your web site are not your target market, they will NOT buy, and you will end up with too many web site visitors, and not enough customers.

– Your web copy/images/web site content might not be doing a good job explaining your products. Even if your target customers come to your web site, you still need to do a good job convincing them that they need YOUR products.

– It is confusing how to place an order. When a customer is ready to place an order, it needs to be as simple as possible. If people find that things are confusing on your web site, they leave instead of placing on order.

My Turn Your Reluctant Website Visitors Into Enthusiastic Customers Special Report  describes in detail how to deal with the too many visitors, not enough customers issue.

Best Colors For Your Web Site

Friday, August 11th, 2006

Do you know how to use colors to further your message and keep peopleon your web site, instead of them running away in horror as soon as they see your web site?

One of the services I provide to my clients is web site evaluation. I have reviewed many web sites, and I have seen pretty much every color of the rainbow used on the web site. Sometimes the colors are all wrong, and my eyes start to actually hurt after looking at a web site for a few minutes. Too many bright colors, blinking banners and moving words take the attention away from the web site’s message.

On the other hand, a good design and a good color scheme stays in the background and lets the web site visitors concentrate of what’s really important – the web copy.

Who Is Reading Your Blog?

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006

Did you ever want to know who comes to your blog, how often, what they read, and how long they stay? Some of these questions can very easily be answered with your web site statistics.

Just like you can track web site visitors on your web site, you can track your blog visitors and readers through the web site statistics on the blog’s web site. These web site statistics should give you information about the visitors who come to your blogging web site.

Web site statistics contain wealth of extremely useful information about your online customers and web site visitors. However, very few business owners actually use the statistics to find information to further their business. You can learn more about using your web site statistics in the Understanding Web Site Statistics Report.

With blogs in particular, some people who read blogs prefer to use RSS readers (I use Sage to read RSS feeds, there are many other RSS readers on the market as well). With RSS readers, you don’t need to visit every blog yourself, to see if they have been updated or not. Instead, the reader checks each blog automatically, and tells you if the blog has been updated since the last time you read it. These readers make RSS requests, that are also seen in your web site statistics. This means that if you have web site statistics for your blog, you will see how many RSS Reader requests your blog receives.

How To Start Writing An Ebook

Monday, July 24th, 2006

Does the idea of writing an e-book seem like a huge task? The secret to creating an e-book is to break the process into smaller steps. To start, you need a plan. When I sit down to write, I usually have a topic, an outline, and an idea of how long the piece is going to be. Having these three pieces of information in advance keeps me focused on writing, and not on planning or making topic and length decisions.

So how do you do the preliminary work and decide on topic, outline and length? Here is how:

1. Choose A Topic. What are your clients already interested in? If many of your clients are interested in a particular topic, it will make a perfect theme for an e-book.

2. Create an Outline. It is very important to create an outline for your product – it guides you through your writing, and it gives you an idea of the expected length of the finished product, and it helps you include all the information into your product. Somewhere between five and ten sections is ideal.

3. Select a Length. Your outline and topic(s) should give you a good idea of a length for your project. Given 2-4 pages per section in your outline, you now have 10-40 pages for your finished product.

You are now ready to write your e-book! To learn the five steps of creating, marketing and selling your e-book, get my “5 Steps to Creating Your First Ebook” special report.

Search Engine Optimization is More Important Then Ever

Friday, June 30th, 2006

Did you know that over 70% of your target customers start looking for your products and services by searching for them using a search engine?

This means that if your web site is not optimized for search engines, you are missing out on all these potential customers.

Search engine optimization is really a two-part process. Part one is the optimization, on your web site, which amounts to making changes to your web site content and tags, as well as your web site structure. The second part of the process, which is just as important, is making changes off your web site. This involves creating and executing linking strategies with other web sites.

My Step by Step Search Engine Optimization special report describes in detail how to do both on-site optimization, as well as create your linking strategies. The report is available
at a tiny fraction of the cost you would pay to someone to actually optimize your web site for you. Click Here To Learn More About Biana Babinsky’s Step by Step Search Engine Optimization Special Report

Google Checkout is Live

Friday, June 30th, 2006

I posted about this before, and Google Checkout is now live. This is yet another way for online business owners to accept payment for their products and services. Plus, if you have an AdWords account, “for every $1 you spend on AdWords, you can process $10 in sales for free. For sales that exceed this amount or if you don’t use AdWords, you can process them at a low 2% and $0.20 per transaction”, according to the Google Checkout web site.

The payment processing fee is 2% plus $.20 per transaction.

Are you using this already? What do you think?
