Blogging Tips: Three Blogging Mistakes You Are Making Right Now
During the years, I have had many service professionals tell me that they are not able to get more newsletter subscribers from their blogs. They spend a lot of time on researching their blog posts, writing their blog posts and promoting their blog. However, they are not seeing anyone who visits their blog subscribing to their newsletter.
Why is that? Why are the service professionals spending a lot of time and effort on their blogging, but are still not able to get newsletter subscribers from it? I have reviewed many service professionals’ blogs, and what I find is that many of them make one (or more than one) of these three blogging mistakes. If you are not getting newsletter subscribers from your blog, take a look at these mistakes, and see if you are making any one of them:
Mistake #1: You Are Not Blogging On The Subjects That Are Of Interest To Your Target Market.
When service professionals blog, many of them blog on the topics that are of interest to them. As a result, their blog posts are of interest to them and to some of their colleagues with similar interests, but not to the people they actually want to attract to their blogs, people in their target market.
Blogging on topics of interest to people in your target market is extremely important. When you talk about things that are of interest to people in your target market, you will get more traffic to your blog, and you will get more newsletter subscribers.
Mistake #2: You Are Not Inviting More Traffic To Your Blog.
Can you right now, off the top of your head, name at least three different marketing methods that you are using to invite more traffic to your blog?
If the answer is “no”, than you should immediately start looking for more sources for attracting more traffic to your blog. Bringing traffic to your blog is very important. If no one comes to your blog and no one is reading your blog posts, than no one will be subscribing to your newsletter.
Get started with bringing more traffic to your blog right now. Some of the best techniques to do that are social networking, article marketing and search engine optimization.
Mistake #3: You Are Not Asking People Who Come To Your Blog To Take Action.
I have seen many great looking blogs that share lots of useful information with their readers. The readers come to the blog, and they really enjoy reading the blog. But then they leave, without taking action.
Why is that? This is because the bloggers haven’t asked their readers to take action. If you want your blog readers to do something, you need to ask them to do that. So if you want your blog readers to subscribe to your newsletter, you should ask them to do that.
