How To Create Your First Product
Many coaches, consultants and other solopreneuers and service professionals ask me how to create their very first product.
Knowing what issues your target market experiences is a great place to start. Is each issue big enough to create a product around it? Can you combine a few issues into a product?
Or, start with a popular service of yours and see if you can create an e-book to use the service for do-it-yourselfers. The reason I recommend this is because you will run across potential clients who need this service, but might not be able to afford it. This service could be a good candidate for turning into an e-book.
For example, a copywriter who ghostwrites e-books for business owners can create a report on how to write an e-book, based on this service.
For example, a service that I provide is one-on-one online business coaching. I took the information that I teach to my one-on-one clients and created my extremely popular Complete Step By Step Online Marketing Course, turning my service into a step-by-step e-book to help business owners market better online.
Are there any services you can turn into products? Do you offer a service that some of your clients can’t afford (but they will be able to afford the do-it-yourself manual)?
I will be talking about product creation in-depth
during the How To Profit From Information Products Teleseminar Series.
