Want To Get Clients With Your Blog? Revolutionize Your Blogging!
So you want to attract your perfect service clients with your blog. But you can’t attract your perfect clients until you know exactly who those perfect clients are. Who are the people you want to read your blog, find a great fit with what you are saying and contact you about becoming your clients?
Once you start defining the people who you want to attract with your blog, remember that the more narrow your definition is for your perfect clients, the better.
When you say your perfect clients are “women who run a business” or “women who have children” or “women who have corporate jobs” or “women who are looking for change in their lives”, it is going to be hard to find your perfect clients.
Why is that? Because there are too many “women looking for a change”, for example, and they are all looking for different changes. If your target market are “women looking for a change”, you will never be able to blog about things of interest to your target market because there are too many changes that women are looking for. For example:
– For one woman a change is a promotion
– For another woman a change is finding a better career
– For yet another one it could be marriage
You can’t possibly blog about all of these changes and attract all of these women to your blog – there are way too many differences and variations of what they are looking to achieve.
And this is the #1 mistake that I see so many coaches make. Their target market is not defined well enough and narrow enough, so when they start blogging, they can’t find good topics to blog about. And, as a result, they can’t bring clients to their business because they can’t blog about the topics that are of real interest to their target market.
On the other hand, if you define your target market as women in their 40s looking to get promoted, you will have a much more narrow market and you can blog on the topic much more effectively.
How To Get Clients With Your Blog
In order to get clients with your blog, the first step that you have to take is to define exactly who your potential clients are. Who are they? What do they do? Are they men or women or both? What do they do for a living? What do they like to do for fun?
Once you know exactly who your potential clients are, it will become much easier to find topics to blog about. What you want to blog about is what is of interest to your target market. What kind of problems does your target market have? Share solutions to those problems!
