Want To Get Clients With Your Blog? Revolutionize Your Blogging!

So you want to attract your perfect service clients with your blog. But you can’t attract your perfect clients until you know exactly who those perfect clients are. Who are the people you want to read your blog, find a great fit with what you are saying and contact you about becoming your clients?

Once you start defining the people who you want to attract with your blog, remember that the more narrow your definition is for your perfect clients, the better.

When you say your perfect clients are “women who run a business” or “women who have children” or “women who have corporate jobs” or “women who are looking for change in their lives”, it is going to be hard to find your perfect clients.

Why is that? Because there are too many “women looking for a change”, for example, and they are all looking for different changes. If your target market are “women looking for a change”, you will never be able to blog about things of interest to your target market because there are too many changes that women are looking for. For example:

– For one woman a change is a promotion

– For another woman a change is finding a better career

– For yet another one it could be marriage

You can’t possibly blog about all of these changes and attract all of these women to your blog – there are way too many differences and variations of what they are looking to achieve.

And this is the #1 mistake that I see so many coaches make. Their target market is not defined well enough and narrow enough, so when they start blogging, they can’t find good topics to blog about. And, as a result, they can’t bring clients to their business because they can’t blog about the topics that are of real interest to their target market.

On the other hand, if you define your target market as women in their 40s looking to get promoted, you will have a much more narrow market and you can blog on the topic much more effectively.

How To Get Clients With Your Blog

In order to get clients with your blog, the first step that you have to take is to define exactly who your potential clients are. Who are they? What do they do? Are they men or women or both? What do they do for a living? What do they like to do for fun?

Once you know exactly who your potential clients are, it will become much easier to find topics to blog about. What you want to blog about is what is of interest to your target market. What kind of problems does your target market have? Share solutions to those problems!

Discover The Most Important Action You Want Your Blog Readers To Take

So you have people coming to your blog and reading it. Most women service professionals think that’s it – people come to read your blog posts, and at some point this traffic will magically turn into clients.

When that does not happen, many service professionals decide that you just can’t attract clients with blogging, so they start just abandon blogging altogether. And this is a shame, because blogging is great for authentically sharing your gifts and attracting clients.

I am on a mission to help you attract clients with your blog. And the first step you must take to attract more clients with your blog is to ask yourself this question:

What action do you want your blog readers to take?

Choose just one action that you want your blog readers to take. What do you want this action to be?

What do you want to happen after they read your blog post, enjoy what they have read and want to learn more about what you have to offer?

You want your blog readers to take the next step with you by subscribing to your newsletter!

Why is that? This is because when people come to your blog, you want to start building a relationship with them. The best way to do that is by asking them to subscribe to your newsletter, because your newsletter is the best tool for connecting with them on a regular basis, building relationships and let them know about your products and services.

Every time I talk about newsletters, someone always asks me:

Aren’t people saying that newsletters are dead?

Shouldn’t you use RSS and social networking web sites to keep in touch with people and not newsletters?

Well, your newsletter is actually the BEST tool for building relationships with people in your target market. When people get on your list, you are able to contact them, share tips and ideas with them, and let them know about your events, products and services.

When people come to your blog – from search engines, social networking web sites, article directories, or if they find your blog from some other sources – chances are, they will not come back to your blog or to your business unless they get on your list and start hearing from you on a regular basis. So unless they get on your list, you will not be able to keep building a relationship with them. This means it is EXTREMELY important to use your blog get them on your list.

Add your newsletter sign-up box to your blog!

The best way to invite your blog readers to subscribe to your newsletter is by making your subscription box very visible. Put it in the header of your blog, on top of one of your menu, etc – make it visible, so that your blog readers are able to get on your list!

How To Get Clients By Being Authentic On Your Blog

Are you looking for a way to bring target customers to your business while using your authentic voice? Many coaches and other service professionals have told me that they feel that the only way to get clients is to adopt the marketing methods of a used car salesman. They feel they have to change themselves and their approach and adopt hard-sell sales techniques to bring in clients.

Fortunately for all of us, this is not true. You can remain true to your authentic self and still have a thriving business with all the clients you can handle.

You can speak in your authentic voice and get clients – what can be better? One of the best ways to do this is to have your own blog and post new entries consistently. Here is how:

Your blog posts can be written in a conversational style, rather than the more formal style that the rest of your web site is written in. When you are blogging, simply imagine that you are talking to your readers and let your authentic self shine through.

When you talk to your blog readers they feel more connected to you and are more likely to become your clients as a result.

Use your blog to tell stories. Your blog is the perfect place to tell stories that illustrate what you do. Such stories might not be appropriate for the rest of your web site, but they are perfect to share on your blog.

For example, is there a popular story in the press right now that you can relate to your products and services? Did you hear an interesting anecdote that illustrates a point that you want to share with potential clients?

A great story helps you share with your potential clients and at the same time spotlight your business, products and services.

Offer your blog readers a gift. What can be more helpful, authentic and professional than helping your potential customers with a problem they are experiencing? Your potential customers need help with problems they are trying to solve. Your blog is an excellent tool for you to help your potential customers do just that.

Create a gift that your potential customers crave. This gift should solve a problem that your potential customers are experiencing and desperately need help with. Package your gift as a special report, e-book or audio recording so that you can create the gift once and give it out to thousands of people.

Once you have the gift ready, offer it to your blog readers in exchange for subscribing to your newsletter. Doing this will help you build a list of potential customers that you can contact and market to on a regular basis.

As you can see, you can use your authenticity to get clients! Use the above advice today and start attracting more clients to your business.

How To Get Clients With Your Blog

Are you wondering whether running a blog is worth your time and effort? The answer is yes. Your blog is an excellent tool to get leads and clients for your service business.

Here is how to create a plan that will turn your blog into an effective tool that will drive potential clients to your business 24/7:

Define Goals For Your Blog

Since you are a service business owner, your goals are to become more known to your target market, attract more newsletter subscribers, and attract clients to your business.

Pick Good Blogging Software

Blogging starts with choosing blogging software that’s right for you. Evaluate a few different options before deciding on the one that is right for you.

Find Topics That Your Target Market Wants To Read About

Since your goals for your blog include using your blog as a tool to get clients and newsletter subscribers, your target market has to be interested in reading your blog posts. Do research through online social networks and search engines to find topics that your target market would like to read about.

Always write blog posts that are of interest to your target market.

Bring Traffic To Your Blog

Just writing posts on your blog isn’t going to do much to improve your visibility and to get more clients. To get benefits from blogging, you need to create a strategy to bring traffic to your blog.

Some ideas for bringing traffic to your blog include search engine optimization, social networking sites, article marketing, commenting on other blogs and more.

Convert Blog Traffic Into Clients

Just bringing traffic to your blog is not enough. You need to get people who come to your blog to take action with you! In addition to bringing traffic to your blog you need to have a procedure in place for turning your blog readers into clients.

Follow the five steps above to turn your blog into a tool for getting clients. Once you have a step-by-step strategy to bring your target market to your blog and turn it into clients, you will be able to get more clients for your business.

Thinking About Leaving Social Networking Web Sites?

Have you been thinking about leaving social networking web sites, because they are not bringing any clients to your business?

Have you been spending a lot of time using social networking web sites such as Facebook and Twitter, but are not seeing any results?

Here are three questions you need to ask yourself. Answers to these questions will help you get more out of your social networking presence:

1. Are You Getting Traffic From Social Networking Web Sites?

Check your web site statistics to see whether you are getting any traffic from social networking web sites that you are participating in.

If you are getting traffic, then see the next question you should ask. If you are not getting any traffic from social networking web sites, then take a look at why not.

Do you have a link to your web site in your profile? Do you share your blog posts on social networking web sites? Do you share useful content that makes your connections curious about what you do to go and click on your links?

2. Are You Getting Targeted Traffic From Social Networking Web Sites?

Some people tell me that they have been getting traffic from social networking web sites, but the traffic isn’t taking action with them and isn’t turning into clients.

In order for your traffic to take action with you, your traffic must be targeted. This means that the people who you are networking with on social networking web sites must be in your target market.

If the people are meeting on social networking web sites are not in your target market, then you are not going to get targeted traffic to your web site and you are not going to be able to turn that traffic into clients.

3. Is Your Web Site Converting Your Traffic Into Clients?

If you are getting targeted traffic, but are not getting any results, then you are not doing a good job at converting this traffic into leads and clients.

Do not send your social networking traffic to a page on your web site where you have many links. Doing this will only confuse them, and they will leave your web site without signing up for anything.

Instead, send your social networking traffic to a squeeze page. Doing this will give your web site visitors just one choice, and will ensure that many more of them will take action with you and become your newsletter subscribers.

How To Make Money With Teleseminars

As a service business owner, you have probably heard that you should teach teleseminars and that they will be very beneficial to you and your business. Your teleseminars help you promote your expertise, attract more paying clients to your business and help you differentiate yourself from others in their field.

However, many service professionals treat their teleseminar as a one-time event — once they get paid for the teleseminar and teach it, they don’t use them to generate any more profits. What many service professionals don’t realize is that they can turn their teleseminar into brand new information products that can generate profits over and over again.

Here are five different ways to profit from your teleseminars:

Record Your Teleseminar

Now your teleseminar recording is a brand new product that you can use in a variety of ways. You can create a brand new income stream for your business by selling the audio recording itself on your web site.

Create A Home Study Guide

Package the audio recording, your notes from the teleseminar, the teleseminar workbook and other resources that are of interest to the teleseminar participants.

By putting all these materials together you have created a bigger product that you can include in your marketing funnel.

Create A Special Report Or An E-book

Depending on whether the teleseminar was just one class or a series of calls, you can package the information you shared during the calls as either a special report or an e-book.

A special report is a shorter digital document, about 10-25 pages long. An e-book is a longer digital document that has over 25 pages.

Put The Audio Recording Of The Teleseminar On A CD

and create a whole new product: a CD that you can also sell on your web site.

Use The Audio Recording As A Bonus

that you give away when someone buys your more expensive products. Doing this provides additional value to people who decide to buy your expensive products, which is good for both you and your customers.

Here are five different ways for you to re-use your teleseminar and create new income streams out of it. Use this information to turn your teleseminar into more income streams.

Chocolate Cake And Your Goals

Hard to believe, but it is already middle of September, and there are only about 3.5 months left till the end of 2009. How are you doing with your goals for your business? Now is a good time to review your plan for 2009 and to see how you are doing with it.

If you are not reaching your goals (yet!), there is still enough time to achieve them. This blog post is about how you can jump-start your goals and reach them in 2009!

But first, here is an update on one of my goals for 2009. One of my goals for 2009 was to start learning how to bake. Here is a picture of a flourless chocolate cake I made recently:

Now let’s talk about your goals for 2009 and how you working towards them:

Are you getting enough web site traffic? If one of your goals was to get more web site traffic, but you are not getting enough web site traffic, here is how to start getting traffic tomorrow! Article marketing and social networking are two marketing techniques that will start bringing you traffic immediately, as soon as you start using them.

Start participating on social networking by joining web sites such as Facebook and Twitter, connecting with people and starting a conversation. You will start getting traffic almost immediately.

Submit articles to article directories, and you will start seeing traffic almost immediately as well.

Are you turning your web site traffic into leads? If you are getting web site traffic, but it is not buying your products and services, then you are not converting your traffic into leads.

Test how well you are turning your web site traffic into leads. If you are not getting the results you are looking for, there are some tweaks that you need to implement. These include creating effective squeeze pages and doing copy writing for your squeeze pages.

Are you getting enough clients? If you are not getting enough clients, then you need a system for getting clients for your business. During the Ultimate Social Networking Training you will learn the step-by-step system for getting clients from social networking web sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

Click on this link to register for the training and you will be on the way to achieving your 2009 goals!

Squeeze Pages 2.0: How To Create A Squeeze Page To Capture Your Social Networking Traffic

I have been hearing from coaches and other service professionals, who have been telling me that they are getting web site traffic from social networking web sites such as Facebook and Twitter, but they have nothing to show for it.

The social networking traffic comes to their web sites and leaves and doesn’t take action. Their social networking contacts come to their web sites, but don’t hire them and don’t buy their products.

Here is a typical email that I receive:

“Biana, I have been watching my web site statistics recently. I see that I am getting a lot of web site traffic from Facebook and Twitter. This has been going on for some time now. However, I haven’t seen an increase in my clients or newsletter subscribers.

What should I do? I would like to be able to convert this traffic into clients.”

It sounds to me like the issue is with where exactly you send your traffic on your web site and what action you want this traffic to take.

When I audit social networking profiles of my clients, 9 times out of 10 I see them sending traffic to the main page of their web site. The main page of their web site usually has 6-15 options for people to click to.

There is a link to a page about the coach, a page about coaching, a coaching services page, products page, newsletter page, a page about the associations the coach is a member of, etc, etc.

The idea is that when a person from Facebook or Twitter comes to the coach’s web site, they will pick the link that interests them (services, about the coach, newsletter, etc), read it, then learn more about products and services and become a client.

It Doesn’t Work That Way!

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way. When you send your social networking traffic to a web page that provides many options, your web site visitor becomes confused. And when they get confused, they leave without taking any action, exactly what you DON’T want to happen.

To Get Clients From Social Networking Web Sites You Must Create Squeeze Pages!

In order to get results from social networking, you must send your social networking traffic to a page called a squeeze page. A squeeze page is a page with just one goal: to convert the visitors you receive from social networking web sites into newsletter subscribers. If you are not using squeeze pages, you are losing newsletter subscribers every single day!

Three Tips To Create Effective Squeeze Pages

1. The Squeeze Page has just one goal – convert your social networking traffic into newsletter subscribers. Make sure that EVERYTHING on your squeeze page is helping you do just that. Don’t ask people to buy a product or register for your services.

2. Offer A Gift. People are more motivated when they get something in return. Since you want them to take action and subscribe to your newsletter, offer them a free gift in return.

3. Use Effective Web Copy. Explain your squeeze page offer in terms of benefits to your target market. What’s in it for them? Why should they get your gift? Don’t just say: “Subscribe to the newsletter”. Share the benefits that people will receive!

To learn more about creating squeeze pages to capture your social networking traffic, join me for the Ultimate Social Networking Training. During this training you will learn exactly how to create Squeeze Pages For Social Networking Web Sites that will convert your social networking traffic into newsletter subscribers.

How To Get Leads On Social Networking Web Sites

Many coaches and other service professionals ask me how to get leads on social networking web sites. Getting leads is extremely important for service professionals. It is easier to first convert a person in your target market into a lead, and then into client, than to immediately convert someone into a client.

I have been using social networking web sites for a long time, and I find that social networking web sites are great for lead generation.

There are many ways to get leads on social networking web sites:

– Offer a no charge report or ecourse

– Offer a no charge teleseminar

– Have your affiliates promote your free offers/for fee offers through social networks.

– Start a viral marketing campaign on social networks to generate leads

– Start a giveaway/contest/etc to generate interest in your business and leads

Social networks are great because they have a viral aspect to them – when people like what you have to offer they can share this information with others and this will get you even more exposure.

The Simplest Strategy To Build Your List With Social Networking

Many coaches and other service professionals have been asking me how to build their lists on social networking web sites. After all, telling people “subscribe to my newsletter” doesn’t work too well on social networking web sites.

Why not? Because by saying “subscribe to my newsletter” you are not showing your contacts how they will benefit. And when your contacts don’t know how they will benefit, they will not take action.

Here is how to show the people you meet on social networking web sites the value that you provide, and how to get more of them on your list as a result:

Find an issue that your target market is interested in solving. The best way to show the value that you provide is by showing that you know what your target market’s issues are and how to solve them.

Create a product (report, audio, event, e-course, etc) that helps your target market solve that issue. If you have an issue or a problem, what do you want? To solve it, of course! Your target market is no different – people in your target market want to solve their problems.

Give this product away at no charge to everyone who subscribes to your newsletter.

Use social networking to get the word out about your free product. Now instead of saying “subscribe to my newsletter”, you can share information about your gift, that provides value to your target market. And when you show how you are providing value, you will get many more newsletter subscribers.

Get the Grow Your List Quick Start Guide to learn my step-by-step process for building your list with social networking web sites and article marketing.
