Facebook Fan Pages Changes

As you probably know, on Thursday Facebook Fan Pages started switching to anew design that looks similar to the design of profile pages. I have already switched my Fan Page to the new design. You can see it by clicking here

Some of the changes include moving the Page Tabs from the top to the left-side menu, being able to receive notifications when people post on your Fan Page, being able to post on other pages as a page, the ability to block posts on your Fan Page based on the keywords that you define and more.

There are lots of changes that are going into effect, but here are three new things to pay attention to:

You Can Now Change The Category Of Your Facebook Fan Page. A lot of people have been unhappy with the category they picked for their page when they first created the page, but they could not do anything about it.

Now you are able to change the category of your Fan Page if you need to.

You Can Now Post As A Page On Other Pages. Here is something else that you can do now – you can post on others’ Fan Pages as your Fan Page, and not as your profile.

There are huge implications for this ability. For example, you can increase the visibility of your Fan Page and gain more fans by commenting and providing value on pages other than your Fan Page. That way, people visiting that page will be able to check out your Fan Page and become fans.

The Tabs Have Moved From The Top To The Left-Hand Menu. The tabs are still all there, but it is going to take a bit of time to get used to them to being on the left hand side and not at the top of the page.

As you can see, there are lots of new things on Fan Pages. Respond in the comments and share whether you have already switched your page to the new design and what you like and dislike about it. I have already switched my Fan Page to the new design. And click here to join my Facebook Page

How To Get The Most Out Of Your Facebook Fan Page Traffic

So, you have a Facebook Fan Page for your business. You publish information and tips there, and sometimes invite your fans to visit your web site. Your fans click on your links, come to your web site, but that’s it. They leave without taking any action on your web site, so you are not getting any clients or customers from your Fan Page.

So, what should you do? How can you start getting clients from your Fan Page? Let’s look at what is happening when your fans come to visit your web site:

1. Your fans see something on your fan page that they are interested in.

2. They click on the link and visit your web site.

3. Because they are not ready to BUY yet, they leave the web site and don’t visit it again.

So what can you do to get clients and customers from your Facebook Fan Page traffic? You need people who come to your web site from your Facebook Fan Page to take action on your web site and subscribe to your newsletter! That way, you will be able to keep in touch with them, let them know about your products and services and convert them into clients and customers even if they don’t buy immediately!

You do that by creating squeeze pages and sharing links to your squeeze page on your Fan Pages.

Your squeeze pages will help you convert more people into newsletter subscribers. That way, even if your fans don’t buy from you immediately, you will be able to convert them into clients and customers in the future.

Here is how the diagram above will look once you use squeeze pages:

1. Your fans see something on your fan page that they are interested in.

2. They click on the link and visit your web site. Because they are now visiting a squeeze page, there is a much higher possibility that they will subscribe to your newsletter

3. They receive your newsletter on a regular basis and become a client or customer in the future.

Do you see how different the diagrams are? In the first one, the fan does not take action and just leaves the web site. With a squeeze page, you are going to convert your fans into newsletter subscribers and then clients!

Squeeze Page Mistakes: Putting More Than One Offer On Your Squeeze Page

Are you using squeeze pages to grow your list? In order to grow your list faster, it is very important not to make sure that you are not making any squeeze page mistakes.

Here is one mistake that I see small business owners make very often. A small business owner wants to offer a lot of value to her newsletter subscribers. She creates one great free gift, and then she creates a squeeze page on which she gives away this gift.

After some time she doesn’t think that just one free gift is enough. So she creates another free gift and adds information about it to the original squeeze page. Then she creates another free gift and adds information about the third free gift to the same page as well. And so on, and so on.

Pretty soon, the squeeze page contains information about 3 or more free gifts, usually on completely different topics. Thing is, while you feel that you are providing more value by offering more than one gift on the same squeeze page, you are actually doing quite the opposite. You are confusing the person who comes to that squeeze page, because the more options you are offering, the more confusing the offer is.

For example, let’s say you are a weight loss coach, and you created a great free product, “How To Lose Weight During The Holidays” and you are offering this gift on your squeeze page. Now you start thinking: “I should add another gift to the page”. So you create an audio recording, “How To Lose 5 Pounds In 60 Days”. Then you think, “I should add another gift”, and you add another free report, “How To Cook Foods That Help You Lose Weight”.

So now you have three different gifts on the same page:

– “How To Lose Weight During The Holidays”

– “How To Lose 5 Pounds In 60 Days”

– “How To Cook Foods That Help You Lose Weight”

and you think, since you are offering three free gifts on that page, many more people will register for your newsletter.

Actually, exactly the opposite is true. Your gifts serve people in your target market, but they serve different segments of your target market.

There might be people interested in cooking foods that help you lose weight, what you are discussing in report #3, might not be interested in report #1, losing weight during the holidays. Now they are confused, as they don’t need the first two reports, they only need the third one.

A much better thing to do would be to create a separate squeeze page for each product and to promote them separately. That way people interested in losing weight during the holidays will be directed to the page that provides information about that, people who are interested in cooking foods that help you lose weight will be directed to the page that provides information about that, etc.

Use the FREE Squeeze Page Tutorial to learn how to create your own squeeze pages.

How To Increase Web Site Traffic

Over the years a lot of small business owners have asked me how to increase web site traffic. After all, if you are a small business owner who wants to attract more clients online, you can only attract clients to your business if your web site gets web site traffic, it is as simple as that.

If you have been wondering how to increase web site traffic, the first thing you should concentrate on is to find effective techniques that will bring more traffic to your web site. By effective I mean the techniques that will help you bring targeted web site traffic that you can then turn into leads and clients for your business.

So if you are wondering how to increase web site traffic, here are three techniques to use to get more traffic to your web site:

1. Social Networking Web Sites, Such As Twitter and Facebook.

Social networking web sites such as Facebook and Twitter are great for attracting more web site traffic. When you use social networking web sites to connect with people and networking, they get to know you. Then, when you share a link to your web site and to your newsletter from time to time, your connections already know who you are and what you do, and they will be more likely to click on your links and visit your web site.

2. Article Marketing.

With article marketing, you can write articles are of interest to people in your target market and submit those articles to article directories.

When you submit articles to article directories don’t forget to also include a Resource Box with information about you and your business and a link back to your web site. When you do this, you will be able to get more traffic to your web site with your articles.

3. Business Blogging.

There are lots of things you can do with your blog to attract more traffic. You can use the same blog posts to get more traffic from social networking web sites, from search engines and from other sources.

Make sure that your blog posts are of interest to people in your target market AND make sure to optimize them for search engines, so that you can attract more traffic with the same blog posts.

Do Facebook Fan Pages Bring Results?

A lot of people ask: Why do you need Facebook Fan Pages? Do Facebook Fan Pages bring results? How can you get more traffic to your coaching web site from Facebook Fan Pages?

Here are three tips to help you get more results from Facebook Fan Pages:

1. Decide On The Results That You Are Looking For.

A lot of times business owners want results, but they don’t know what they mean by results. Ask yourself this question – what kind of results are you looking to get from your Facebook Fan Page? The results you are looking for can be more web site traffic, more leads, more clients, etc. But you must know exactly what results you are looking for.

Next, you need a way to track your results. How do you know that you are getting the results that you are looking? You do that by tracking where your web site traffic is coming from and looking at how much traffic you are getting from your Facebook Fan Page.

2. Optimize Your Facebook Fan Page.

Now that you know what results you are looking for from your Facebook Fan Page it is time to optimize your page.

There are many things you can do to optimize your page:

Create a Landing Tab On Your Fan Page A landing tab is much better at converting your Fan page visitors into actual fans. And the more fans you have, the more web site traffic and leads you can get from your Fan Page.

Share your blog posts on your Fan Page. Your fan page members can learn more about your business and your offerings from your blog posts. So share your blog posts on your Fan Page and you will get more traffic and newsletter subscribers.

Share information about your business on your Fan Page.

3. Attract More People To Your Facebook Fan Page.

The more fans you have, the better results you are going to get. So, how you attract more people to your page? Invite your Facebook friends to join your page from time to time. Invite your Twitter connections from time to time.

Post on your Facebook Page on a regular basis – when you post and your fans respond to you, your page gets more visibility on Facebook, and more fans as a result.

Coaches, Get Rid Of The About Coaching Web Page Now!

In the last few years I have seen hundreds of coaching web sites. One thing that over 85% of these web sites had in common was “About Coaching” page. The pages I have seen on different coaching web sites had very similar information – all of them discussed what coaching is. The problem was that they failed to mention much more important information, how coaching will benefit their potential clients.

Why should you get rid of the “About Coaching” web page on their coach web site? Because, quite simply,

Your Clients Don’t Care About What Coaching Is

“About Coaching” web page is all about you – it shares information about what coaching is and how it works. What it forgets to mention is how it is going to benefit your clients.

Truth is, your potential coaching clients don’t care how coaching works, what they want to know is how coaching will solve their problems. So make sure that your web site contains the information on how you help your clients solve their problems.

For example, if you are a weight loss coach, share with your potential coaching clients how working with you will help them lose weight.

If you are a career coach, share with your potential coaching clients how working with you will help them get a better job or find a more rewarding career.

Learn how to attract coaching clients with your web site during the How To Get MORE Web Site Traffic Teleseminar Series.

What SHOULD You Have On Your Web Site?

Now that I told you to get rid of the “About Coaching” page, what should you actually have on your coaching web site? Here are a few ideas:

Information about how YOU help your clients

Information about your free gift and newsletter

Information about your products

Information about your services

Your Blog

etc…

The most important point to remember is that all the web copy on your web site should be written from the point of view of your potential clients. Tell your potential coaching clients what’s in it for them – don’t make it about you.

Web Site Promotion: Five Things Your Web Site Must Do For You

Do you want your coaching web site to bring your perfect clients to you? The best way to bring in more clients for your coaching business is by making sure that your web site does its job in helping you bring the clients in.

Your web site is your spokesperson. It is there to talk to your potential clients, and it will make a difference whether a potential client decides to take action on your web site or leave the web site without taking any action. Because of this, what you do for your web site promotion is very important.

To get clients from your web site, your web site must include the five items below:

Your web site must speak to your potential clients in your authentic voice

When your potential clients come to your web site, your web site must tell them what you do and how you can help them.

Your web site must show how you can help

Your potential clients want to know what’s in it for them. They want to know how you can help them solve problems that they are having. They will only contact you if they are convinced you are the person who can help them solve their problems.

Your web site should also offer your web site visitors advice and information. You can do that by sharing your articles and your blog posts.

Your web site should attract more Internet traffic

Bringing in more Internet traffic is a huge part of your web site promotion. You can do that by optimizing your web site for search engines so that you can attract more people from search engines to your web site.

Your web site should let your web site visitors know about what you have to offer

Before your potential clients can decide that they want to work with you, they need to know what exactly you are offering.

Make sure that your web site shares enough information on what you have to offer, so that your web site visitors can make a decision about working with you.

Your web site must ask your web site visitors to take action

Your web site visitors will not take action until you specifically ask them to. Ask them to take action with you and you will be amazed at how many more leads and client inquiries you will get from your web site.

Discover how to make your web site more effective and get clients from it during the How To Get MORE Web Site Traffic Teleseminar Series. Register for the call at https://www.EffectiveOnlineMarketing.com

Web Site Promotion: Five Tips To Get More Clients With Your Web Site In 2011

2011 has just started. And many women small business owners have goals that they set for the new year. And for many of these small business owners, one of the biggest goals is to improve their web site promotion and get clients from their web sites.

Many women small business owners don’t get any clients or newsletter subscribers from their web sites. As a result, their web sites are just expensive brochures. They spent money to get their web sites up and running, but the web sites just sit there, instead of bringing in clients.

If your web site is just sitting there instead of bringing you clients and newsletter subscribers, then use these five web site promotion tips to get more clients with your web site in 2011:

1. Share The Benefits Of Your Products And Services. Many times when I visit women small business owners’ web sites, one thing that I cannot find anywhere are the benefits that their clients receive when working with them.

Don’t keep turn these benefits into your best-kept secret. Instead, share it with your web site visitors, so that your web site visitors learn the benefits of working with you and move a step closer to becoming clients.

2. Invite Your Web Site Visitors To Join Your List. One extremely important element of successful web site promotion is inviting your web site visitors to join your list.

You cannot run a successful online business without a list of your potential clients. And the best place to invite people to join your list is your web site. Make sure that your web site has plenty of reminders for your web site visitors to join your list. Learn how to do that during the <How To Get MORE Web Site Traffic Teleseminar Series.

3. Have An Extremely FUNCTIONAL Web Site. Would you rather have a pretty web site that looks great, but does not attract clients and customers? Or would you rather have a highly functional web site that actually brings in clients?

Many women small business choose the first one, and don’t get clients as a result. Make sure that you choose a highly functional web site that brings in leads and clients every day.

4. List Your Web Site In Search Engines. Search engines direct over 70% of online traffic, so if you are not getting search engine traffic, you are missing out on a lot of clients!

Use search engine optimization to get your web site listed in search engines and to start getting more traffic from search engines to your web site.

5. Get Traffic To Your Web Site. Even if you have the best converting web sites, you will not get any results from it unless you drive traffic to it. You must bring traffic to your web site every single day in order to get more clients and newsletter subscribers from it.

There are many different ways to get traffic to your web site, including social networking web sites, such as Facebook and Twitter. Article marketing, where you write articles and submit them to article directories. Search engine optimization, where you attract traffic to your web site from search engines, and more.
