In order to use squeeze pages to build your list you must make this shift that. In order for you to help many more people, in order for you to shift to working with more people, to sharing your gift with more people, to having more clients, you must invite more people to join your list. You need to have a list of people in your target market, so that you can build relationships with them and let them know about what you have to offer. If you have 10 people on your list, you won’t be able to accomplish that. And in order for you to invite more people to your list, you should start using squeeze pages.
This is why you must decide, right now, to use squeeze pages – they are much more effective than regular web pages, they will help you get more people on your list, they will help you get your message out and they will help you work with many more people!
So next time you are trying to decide what page to use to give away your free gift, make sure to use a squeeze page that is effective. Avoid using a page that looks nice, but doesn’t convert your web site visitors into subscribers.
The design of your squeeze page is very important. It should be different from the design of your blog or the rest of your web site. Your blog or the rest of your web site share lots of information, and they link to other pages on your web site and maybe even on other web sites.
On the other hand, your squeeze page should have a completely different design. It should not have a menu on it, it should not link to any other pages on your web site. Don’t use too many colors or too many images on the squeeze page. The page should be very simple, and all it should focus on is converting the web site visitors into newsletter subscribers.
Make the page very readable. Sometimes I come to a page, and it has very dark background and it is very hard to read the text on it. Make sure that it is very easy to read your page – if people are having trouble reading your page, they will move on and you will lose subscribers!
All the design should be doing is moving the web site visitors closer to giving you their email address in exchange for your free gift. Here are some elements for your squeeze page:
- Headline – the main benefit of the free gift that you are giving away on that page
- Sub-headline. Use it to tell the people more about your offer and share more about the offer’s benefits
- Share bullet points about the benefits of the gift
- Include the subscription form. If you have a lot of text on the squeeze page, you want to include it on top and then again on the bottom. If the page is relatively short, then including it once is enough.
